(Clements, 1916; Phillips, 1931), îáîçíà÷àþùåãî ïðèðîäíóþ çîíó ñî ñïåöèôè÷åñêèìè
ðàñòèòåëüíûì è æèâîòíûì íàñåëåíèåì (òóíäðà, áîðåàëüíûå è òðîïè÷åñêèå ëåñà,
ñòåïü, ïóñòûíÿ) (Shelford, 1932).
