Ñïåöèàëèñò â îáëàñòè ìåòîäîëîãèè è ïðåïîäàâàíèÿ áèîãåîãðàôèè, ñîàâòîð èçâåñòíûõ óíèâåðñèòåòñêèõ êóðñîâ ïî áèîãåîãðàôèè (Brown, Gibson, 1983; Brown, Lomolino, 1998). Ãåîýêîëîãèþ ðàññìàòðèâàåò â êà÷åñòâå îòäåëüíîé íàóêè – “ìàêðîýêîëîãèè” (Brown, 1995).
